Job Description:	The Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (SECCA) in Winston-Salem, NC, is currently accepting applications for DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT & EXTERNAL AFFAIRS. This position will work with SECCA’s executive director and the SECCA Foundation Board to provide senior leadership and management for the direction, planning, and execution of fundraising, development and membership related activities for the Center. This will include, but is not limited to, the creation and implementation of a Development Plan that features an annual giving campaign, corporate and individual membership programs, planned giving program, donor stewardship plan, donor cultivation events, and other special fundraising events. The incumbent will also oversee and participate in grant writing as needed; coordinate endowment and capital campaigns; oversee Raiser’s Edge database; and manage web-based income. Position requirements: Graduation from a four-year college or university and at least 5 years of progressively successful fundraising experience and will supervise professional staff and volunteers. This position requires the incumbent to travel and to entertain donors and potential donors throughout the state and region. Strong public speaking and communication skills including ability to write and speak persuasively about the art center is a must. Preference will be given to candidates with prior museum or arts-related experience.
